James D. Carlson (Of Counsel)


Mr. Carlson joined the firm in 2010 after retiring from service for the state of Idaho. He has extensive litigation practice including more than 160 jury trials in State and Federal Courts; Appellate practice includes over 20 cases before the Idaho Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit and United States Supreme Court.

  • Served as an Ada County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, 1982-1990, in the Criminal and Civil Divisions.
  • Private practice, 1990-1997; emphasis on litigation (governmental, insurance and business defense).
